Ann is the quiet BEAST in the gym . So many have come in and watched her crush heavy weights and hard workouts, leaving younger athletes with there jaws dropped . She is one of the hardest workers I have ever known .She works long hours with her Veterinarian Practice and always makes it to her workouts. When did you first start CrossFitting?
I wanted to start a type of fitness that is always different and challenging and not the same monotonous type of workout that just running on a treadmill or using and elliptical and indoor cycling provided. I also wanted to do crossfit since it is definitely a functional fitness that helps me everyday wit my work and work around the house.

Tell us about your sports & fitness background.
I played Basketball in high school and college and always have performed weight lifting, indoor cycling and running
How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? Take us back to your first WOD… what was it, and how did it feel?
I went to a crossfit class with one of my friends and coworkers and all I remember about the WOD was a lot of running and wall balls. I was very very sore the next day but felt like I had one of the best kind of workouts to actually elevate my heart rate and push me to the next level.
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CF? (before / after)
I am a lot stronger and my back does not get sore from sitting in the car for a long time any more and I have A LOT more energy!
What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like CrossFit that were totally unexpected?
I have an overall more positive outlook on everything in life and I just feel good!
Please share with us any favorite CrossFit / GWCF moments.
All of my favorite moments are cheering on other people in the class as we all get through a tough WOD together and even though there are a lot of individual achievements you make the whole group/ team approach. There is just so many great things that make it so much FUN on so many levels.
Any advice for people just getting started?
Don’t be scared and you don’t have to rush at anything with crossfit. It is perfect just taking small steps at a time and it definitely pays off when you put the effort into it.
What are your hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit? I love sports and I love taking care of and loving animals.
